Speaking English is just a cup of tea! Most of us think English is a subject, not a language, so teaching it accordingly. Then we expect that we will have good results. But it might have been finished not learned. When I think of teaching English, I always look at a child and how he learns his mother tongue. His mother tongue means his mother language which he listens to, not his mother speaking all the time and his father just listening. He makes mistakes while learning it. So, we have to keep in mind that learning English is not a subject but a purely language. As we are second language learners, we never speak at the society and workplace. That’s why, we fear speaking outside of the classroom. As a result, we never practise it or realise what errors we make in day-to-day situations.
