Honourable guest, respected trustee sir, dear principals and teachers and my loving students.

 Happy Independence Day to you all!

 Today, we celebrate 75th Independence Day. So it is a very special day for everyone. But why do we celebrate this day? As we know that we Indians got independence on 15 August 1947.

This freedom we got because of our freedom fighters and their contribution. These freedom fighters are Mahatma Gandhi, Pandit Nehru, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Bhagat Singh, Subhash Chandra Bose, Chandrasekhar Azad and many more. 

They not only gave us freedom but also taught love, non-violence, cooperation, kindness and self-respect. Even we know that our country is famous for unity in diversity, spirituality and unity in all religions. All these have come because of our freedom fighters. So it is today for us to remind all these ethics and teachings. Now let’s promise to ourselves to maintain and sustain these valuable ethics and teachings.
