Sharing and Enrolling
Sharing and Enrolling
I brought ‘sharing and enrolling’ activity
at 11th commerce. It means that the students have to share their
feeling and they enroll their friends in this activity. In detail, let me tell
that there is a lesson in English textbook, that is ‘P.T.Usha: against all odds’. In this lesson the narrator talks about
her struggle and ideal views. So I planned out this activity and ask my
aspirants the following questions,
A) Who
is your ideal person?
B) Why
is that person ideal to you?
As soon as I wrote these questions on the black board, I gave them ten
minutes for their writing work in the paper. At that moment, they started
writing and thinking too. At first they were confused about these. But I
cleared their difficulties, as it number of ideal persons and how to decide it?
I explained that the person is most impressive in thought and respected in
their eyes. So they could take that person and asked self about the reason.
After 10 minutes, assigned them
in a group of two students and share their views with their partner. In same way,
that partner also shared his /her views about the ideal person and why they
have taken that person as the ideal. That took place for following ten minutes.
In meanwhile, I observed that they were quite happy and relaxed while sharing with
each other. Further I called one of them on the stage and asked him to share
his friend’s ideal person as well as reason by putting the following questions
A) Who
is the ideal person of your partner?
B) Why
is the particular person of his partner’s ideal?
Easily and comfortably
the student shared about his friend’s idealness in front of the class. Directly
he enrolled his partner by telling his view. At that time everybody confidently
spoke about their partner’s idealness and their reason. They carried out that
activity spontaneously. It was a frank, free and candid sharing. Even they
enrolled their friends completely.
Here I noted down my reflection what
I have observed in the class. They shared their view, purpose and future dream. That
way they started to pursue their dream by sharing the view of idealness. In directly
they tried to live the life of their ideal person. They followed the thought,
discipline and perception of that ideal man. At least they had a clear thought
of why they kept him as the ideal person. That activity was carried out with sharing
as well as enrolling among themselves. So easily they forgot their own life,
only remembered the ethics of that person. They were ready to follow good
things of that person. The changes as well as enthusiasm were seen on the
faces.
‘Sharing and
Enrolling’ activity brought a change in the class. It made them to be positive and
active in the class. Somewhere they showed others that they are living the life
of their own dream. It enables them to think beyond the class room. It prepares
them to speak and act towards their dream. In this way, it spreads a
change in their thought, action and functioning. It can be used not only at the
class but also the school assembly. At that time I remembered the following
lines,
“If the thought is changed, the action would
be changed,
If the action is changed, result would be
changed,
If the result is changed , ultimate
the future would be changed”
