Once upon a time, the new manager was appointed by the
owner at the five-star hotel. As soon as he got the position, faced a severe
problem of remaining food which was thrown outside every day. So I turned up
before the owner and requested that the remaining food had to be distributed
among the slum areas. Over it, the owner lost temper and was not ready to allow
him to do it. Despite the difference, the manager convinced his owner and
promised that actually, he would help the hotel industry for growth. In the
end, the owner accepted it but warned him about the wrong impact over their
image. However, the manager was firm in his decision for it.
Later on, he every day began to put the remaining food
on the trolley and distribute it among the slum areas where the poor reside. It
went on for a week, and surprisingly whatever the remaining food, which
remained earlier, on daily did not remain. Consequently, their food was on high
demand and customers were increased.
After that, the owner called and asked him
surprisingly how their food was on high demand, and the customers also
increased. Even the food did not remain unsold. At that time, the manager
shared his idea with him. It was that the poor ate their food and appreciated
it before wealthy families where they worked. Indirectly they became mouth
publicity of their hotel.
Over that, the owner humbly requested him to continue
with its minimum for the five families every day. Both of them became happy
over the growth of the hotel.
Moral: Always identify the brand ambassador of your
business or career.
