                                   A diary Date:09.04.2025                                     D ay: Wednesday Yesterday was somewhat emotional and pensive for me, as it happened at the college. I took a student’s mobile and scolded her later on. On my observation, she lied to me about her excuses, and literally, she spoke to my face boldly. That lingered in my mind constantly. It meant that I was indeed disturbed and kept self-talk with me for some time. In that talk, I was justifying my words as if I made a blunder.   Speaking English is just a cup of tea! Most of us think English is a subject, not a language, so teaching it accordingly. Then we expect that we will have good results. But it might have been finished not learned. When I think of teaching English, I always look at a child and how he learns his mother tongue. His mother tongue means his mother language which he listens to, not his mother speaking all the time and his father just listening. He makes mistakes while learning it. So, we have to keep in mind that learning English is not a subject but a purely language. As we are second language learners, we never speak at the society and workplace. That’s why, we fear speaking outside of the classroom. As a result, we never practise it or realise what errors we make in day-to-day situations. Wasting time either mentally or physically is a big blunder. So, acceptance is a boosting medicine. Another way out of it is a solution such as gathering confidence or positive qualities that can enhance a person’s morality as well as energy.                              Similarly, I have good qualities that can boost my life and confidence level.   Something related to the past…..   Past cannot help me or take me anywhere, so it must be eradicated with a sense of understanding. In my life, so much happened and still hovering me all the time. Further, my mind kept strengthening it and entertained it with self-talk. As if I got enjoyed. But it bound me somewhere in clutches of negativity and mental disturbance. Day by day, I keep the same type of conversation with me and there are consequences too before me. I should remember that everything is good as well.
