That moment his father returned from the office. Then he asked the son further , “Did you play today?”   “Yes, papa”   “What game did you play? “With whom you played?” The son replied gladly that he played cricket and chess with his friends.   They all enjoyed it very much. Again the father friendly asked, “Dear Beta, What did you learn today at school?” “Anything good happened?” He informed that he learnt lots of things and the science teacher took them at the science lab. Sometime back I came across two different incidents and learnt something out of these incidents. In the first incident, I came to know that my teacher’s son who passed out with good grade in the science. He got the admission at medical college after passing the NEET exam in first attempt. When I was studying at H M Patel institute, vidyanagar, at that time my teacher shared his son story with us. He told that his son was an avid reader and read all magazines as well as other books except his regular studies. He did it every month and bought the different books for himself. He had never the tuition  outside, but he himself engaged in studies. He cultivated reading, thinking, and writing habits well.          Every year he passed with decent marks without the private tuition .   Since his childhood he had been developing various skills at home. Even his father, meant my teacher, was never bothered. But he took care of his child’s talents and gave the space to him. In the course

One day a school teacher visited his student’s home on the request of his father. That student was in 7 th standard. It was an evening time around 7 o clocks. The father welcomed him, at that time the student was studying under the observation of the private teacher. He was very slender and had a thick spectacle.       The teacher just looked around and started to converse with the father. They both had general talk in the beginning; the father narrated the child’s routine on asking. He said, “Sir, my son always gets up at 6 and has a bath. Then he takes a glass of milk with the breakfast. He goes to school by the bus and returns to home at 1.30.”   The teacher exclaimed, “Oh! Good.”   But the father continued,       “Then he has lunch at 2 and completes his school work. At 3 o clock he goes to private classes up to 6. He gets back to home at 6.30. After that he takes the snack. As soon as finishing it, he has home tuition up to 8. Then he has his dinner. Afte

Montu, at home around 6.30 in the evening, was studying .And his mother was watching television attentively while cutting and cleaning the vegetable. He again looked at mom, called her. But she replied what it was and ignored. He continued in his studies and eager to show something to her. Then his dad returned home from the job. Tired and lethargic he was seen. The boy became excited and happy on seeing him and ran toward the dad. He asked him to see his notebook and what it was. But the father took his mobile and started checking if there was any call or message. Little bit he looked at the boy, didn’t say anything and directly went to the bathroom for getting fresh. The boy again sat back his place and kept waiting for his father. After some time, the father asked for a cup of tea and took the mobile to check whether there was any update. He was lost in it while sipping the tea and totally forgot that he had to see his child’s notebook. By the time the boy became demotivate

A story telling day at school

Image
A story telling is an art and an old method of the teaching –learning. It enables the person to enhance the varied skills. These are: listening, presentation, body language, thinking, imagination, and communication skill. It not only gives the pleasure, but also takes the attention of all. That’s why the story telling plays a vital role everywhere. It is either at the school or social level, but leaves an everlasting impression over everyone. In this way we can keep the story telling day at the school. It can be for 5 to 10 classes. Not only the students but also the teachers can participate. It must be with moral message. So that everyone gets it and keep learning. It can be started with some students at the assembly to the last period. It means that any three or four students have to share their stories at the assembly. Then two or three students have to tell the stories along with respective teacher. It goes period –wise and ends in the last period. At least 30 students will

Thinking class !

Yesterday one of my friends shared the story of his school. I listened to him attentively and realised that our children have lots of imagination power. It is only need of taking care and motivates them. One day the social science teacher was teaching the lesson on the Earth at 6 class. She said, "The Earth moves around itself and the Sun. It does for 24 hours in a day and 12 months in a year." At that time one of the girls asked if the Earth moves around itself, then why they had not fallen down. The teacher kept silent and looked for others to reply or ask another question. Then another student asked if it moves around itself and the Sun, then why they had not moved from one place to other. Others supported why we had not felt giddiness. Many of them raised the question why it had not happened. Initially the teacher surprised over the students’ imagination and thinking skill. Later on, she explained it and became happy that such things happened in the class. She  h

A sage and his disciples.

Image
This story was told by my school teacher when I was studying in Marathi medium. Still I remember it and say how we make our mind conditioned in course of the time. We are too engrossed to change the mind.       Once upon a time there was ashram on outskirts of a village. There a sage and his disciples lived. It was full of spiritual and religious place, so the villagers kept visiting there in order to get the advice, guidance, and sometime a blessing. Every day the sage and the disciples used to get up early morning. Then they used to go at main hall and there meditate for an hour. It was a routine, and nitty-gritty of their spiritual lives. So nobody could pass day without it.           One day, all at once, a small kitten came and disturbed them during meditation hour. The following day it happened again. Every day it jumped here and there, disturbing them. Therefore they began complaining among themselves. They regretted that they were wasting their prec

Some days ago I noticed that the life is full of good people. It kept happening since that day. Everyday I came across good human beings. So I can say that it comes true what thoughts we keep. I am also amazed at it and feel full of good.        It happened in the evening on 27 July, 2019 that I was in hurry to reach at computer shop. I was supposed to inquire about loan for purchasing new laptop. So I somehow finished my evening tea after returning home from the school. I wanted to reach there as quickly as possible. As I was informed that an officer of the loan department would be avail up to 7 o clock. That’s why I was in mood of reaching there. It was already 6.30 when I was leaving for it. I was going there by the bike. All of sudden I was landed in trouble by my bike as it was out of the fuel. And that shop was hardly 2 kilometer away from there. Automatically it halted me and put the question before me. Then I started taking it by walking and reached there sharply at 7
