A story telling day at school

A story telling is an art and an old method of the teaching –learning. It enables the person to enhance the varied skills. These are: listening, presentation, body language, thinking, imagination, and communication skill. It not only gives the pleasure, but also takes the attention of all. That’s why the story telling plays a vital role everywhere. It is either at the school or social level, but leaves an everlasting impression over everyone.
In this way we can keep the story telling day at the school. It can be for 5 to 10 classes. Not only the students but also the teachers can participate. It must be with moral message. So that everyone gets it and keep learning. It can be started with some students at the assembly to the last period. It means that any three or four students have to share their stories at the assembly. Then two or three students have to tell the stories along with respective teacher. It goes period –wise and ends in the last period. At least 30 students will have completed it by the end of day. By that time the whole school will have finished it with the teachers.
The story may be small or long, but compulsorily done by everyone. So everyone will be informed in advance and by chance some stories may be repeated. However we need to keep focus upon the skill the students gain. Even they learn an important aspect of it, that is value based learning. Next they will have command of language and confident level.
Moving ahead with this small step, the students can share the same story with their family, relatives, and the friend circle. That way they can have an exposure of English language and broaden their vision by sharing the moral message.

In a short, we can say that they can get habituated of telling stories. And we know that it is the art, definitely helps them in the future career too.
