A Lady Entrepreneur
Pooja Yadav was from a poor family, having five
children of the family struggled to get a good education. Father being a farmer
saved a little for his children. However, she finished it at government school
near Ajmer, Rajasthan. Being interested in sports, she showed it at school and
college level. She became a player of Kabaddi. She represented Ajmer University
at University level. Further, she became a captain of the state by representing
in 2007 and at National level in 2008. Having a post-graduate degree in
Sanskrit and aspired to become something.
But destiny had something for her after marriage at
the age of 20. Consequently, her dream and hope scattered. Her husband, being
an employee of transport, lived at a small village near Neemach, Madhya
Pradesh. She shared her dream of living a good life and career with her
husband. Then she with husband shifted to Neemach town to rent a room. Then she
had a baby girl having an asthma problem within six months. So she was
disturbed but didn’t abandon her hope. She knew that when the going gets tough,
the tough get going.
Then she started a small saree shop in 2012, having
stitching Centre and selling boutique. Even she began teaching the women about
stitching the sarees and boutique. Afterwards, she set a high target by
purchasing a bungalow of one crore by the mortgage loan. But life again landed
her into kidney problem, facing hurdle from not only life but also others. She
determined not to leave her dreams of offering a good life to the family and
children. With jumping into another
business of direct selling, she increased the income by keeping two helpers at
the shop.
Slowly and gradually, she became a role model in
Neemach town, worked online and attracted the customers. So she easily enrolled
women and men into direct selling of daily needs. In this way, she showed her
courage and leadership skills to society. She expresses her thought confidently,
“Today’s woman needs to know her existence and show it
to the society.”
