Goal setting

                           Goal setting department
In school, Goal setting department can be introduced at secondary and higher secondary level. This department will work for 7th to 12th classes. In a week, every class has two periods. At first the facilitator can take the details from the students. In which they will write about their short and long term goals. Further they will add their purpose of the goals. Then the facilitator can conduct the period in such way that the students will respond him and that will give the clarity about their goals. It is a period to remind them about what are their goals? What are they doing for it? How are they performing for that in day to day life? What problems do they come across? In this period everybody will focus on achieving their goal.
This is only department to ask the students about their goals on the court. And it also takes the review about their efforts towards the goal. Here the students can show their progress by sharing. The facilitator keeps the written copy of the learners’ details. So it is easy for him to keep asking them. At same time he can note down the progress in his personal diary so that he can raise the question to them about their action as well as results. Some time the learners can share their feeling and difficulties with the class. The class can offer the suggestions about what to do or not to do. In this way it becomes a bridge between the learners and their goal.
In a course of time, they can update to themselves. Here they cannot divert from their goal. It enables them to work consistently towards the goal. This department has a very clear objective of doing this and keeps the learners in touch of their goal. It not only reminds them about their goal but also their action.
