On the first day of my job.
On the first day of my job.
As soon as I started my job as an English teacher at an English school, I was very cheerful and enthusiastic. On the first day, I thought of impressing others with my speaking skills. By the time, I got a chance to introduce myself on the stage. But I fumbled and completed my introduction before the principal and 50 teachers. So, I wondered why I was so much under pressure before teachers.
Consequently, I asked myself what I decided to speak confidently and what I had
faced a stage fear and fumbling. Afterwards, I became depressed about my
college days when I was touching stone. In a real situation, I was shocked by
my confidence.
I shared my experience with one of the senior colleagues before leaving for the house. He said that I had to keep lots of practice and learn a lot about English language teaching. Slowly and gradually, I motivated myself to work hard on key areas of the English language.
That day
taught me a lot about how I would use the English language in real-life
situations. After that, my real learning started instead of teaching.
