Talk on leadership by Mr. Sharad Sagar

V.N.Godhani school had kept a talk on leadership skill by Mr.Sharad Sagar on last Saturday. That was on 23 July, 2018. It was for both mediums and 10 to 12 classes. So the students were taken to the hall at 1.15 and they along with the faculties had been waiting for him since 1.15 until 2 o clock the teachers had been successful in controlling the students. They were heard many things either about him or other things. At last at 2.25 he turned up there along with his team as well as SRK’s team.
The anchor began with a heap of praise over him and welcomed him by a head boy of English medium as well as a head girl of Gujarati medium. Within 10 minutes he was handed over the mike and put a plea to start his session. At first he shared his feeling that he was unwell. But he intended to talk by coming there. So he gave his brief introduction and asked the students what they would like to be heard. Three or four students stood up and expressed their heartfelt contents. Afterward he started his ideas on the definition of leadership skills. He said that they could find leadership in the classroom. They would train the students about it. Indian people need it in order to succeed globally. Instead of Indian politicians and the leaders, he defined that they could see the leadership in science like Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam, the sports like Sachin Tendulkar and the successful business like Mr. Bill Gates.

He gave the examples of it in simple way like a mother at the kitchen also shows the leadership skills. While talking on it, he kept himself interactive with the students. He shared his ideal leader as his mother and the mothers of Indian society. He said that there would be four ingredient features of the leadership. In sake of succeeding in it, the person must have the following features.
1)      Independent thinking
2)      Research skill
3)      Communication skill
4)      Leadership skill
He elaborated each of the points in simple way and tried his best.
1)      Independent thinking:
He said that the person should have his own thinking. He should depend not on others. He should have his independent thinking. He should use it in sake of convincing his points to others. He gave a number of examples from the life.
2)      Research skill:
The person should have eagerness to know about the things on which he works. He said that the person should have research mind. He gave the example of mobile. The person finds the features of that mobile and compares it with other mobiles before purchasing it. Then he buys it. So the person must have a curiosity to know many things of the life.
3)      Communication skill:
It is an integral part of the leader. Without it, he cannot succeed in his mission. So he should have command of it. But he should use it wisely and properly.
4)      Leadership skill :
It is a pivotal of every human being. It sharpens the people’s life. It enables the people to lead his mission and makes him visionary. He gave the examples of day to day life. He said that the school boy helps an old man to cross the road. Somebody gives his or her seat to others while travelling. These are the examples of the leadership.
In the end of his talk, he urged the students to raise the questions and clear the doubts. So that he can explain in better way. After that, many of the students asked him about what was important in the life. How do they start the leadership? What to do if anybody make fun of them? Mr.Sharad Sagar elaborated each of the questions in simple way and requested all of them to visit his website for more questions. Then one of members of Godhani School, Mr. Sanjay sir, extended the thanks to him. Mr.Sharad Sagar shook the hand with the teachers and moved towards the school library.
All were impressed with his style, lucidity, simplicity and ideas. It was very successful programme for the school. It was an insightful , visionary and thought provoking for all of them.
