An old lady and her power !

An old lady and her power !

The following story was shared by my trainer Mr Bhaskaran who was working at Dr Reddy's foundation when I joined. Still the story inspires me.
Once upon a time, there lived a family. There were four members in it. An old lady with her son, daughter in law and a grandson were there. They were a happy family. Their house was at a corner of the village near the highway. The old lady was very weak. She was too difficult to walk and talk. But she loved her grandson much who was a year by age. So both played and spent the time together. She hardly lived without her grandson.
One fine morning, both her son and daughter in law left for the farmhouse. So there was no one at the home except the woman and her grandson. Initially, they played in the home, but the child slowly started to go out. At that time she tried to stop him, but it was in vain as he didn’t pay attention to her. After some time he crossed the door and went outside. She had not the courage to stand and get him back. Therefore she started calling, despite calling her voice didn’t reach to him. At a time she tried to look for someone to help her or bring him back. But there was no one
Gradually he came closer to the highway. It was always full of running trucks and buses. It was dangerous for anyone. She became tensed and in deep grief. She somehow came near the door and saw him close to the highway. She again tried to scream at him loudly, but no response from his side. At a time she saw that an overloaded truck came running fast. She frightened and total confusion of what to do or how to save him. She thought for a while and looked for somebody. All were in vain as there was no one. seeing the child and the truck coming close she was helpless. She realized that her grandson might be in danger if she didn’t do anything. Within a moment, she stood at once after collecting the confidence. She ran like a sportswoman toward the child, caught him in her arm and She crossed the road. Even the driver tried to stop his truck, but the screeching sound of the tyres became louder and louder. Nearby people rushed towards the road and came there.
By that moment she saved and held the child tightly. All of the people rushed at the side and stood around her. They began asking her what happened. She started to cry and said nothing. The truck driver also turned up there after taking truck aside. He saw that the child was finally saved and in safe hand. He had a heave of relief and narrated the incident to the people.
All of them consoled her that she at least saved the child. So she didn’t need to cry, but she didn’t pay attention to them while crying. However, nobody got why she was crying. They pleaded her to stop. It was in vain. That day she got the realization that she had a huge power within. She never realized it earlier. In that way, she wasted her life. Therefore she cried a lot by looking at weaknesses as she had kept thinking all the time.
