The blind doctor

The story told by my guru Prof.B. P Jadhav sir still inspires me a lot. I always share the following story with the students.
Once there was a family at the village. In the family, three members lived. A husband and wife lived including a blind son. They were very happy and contended. The son was blind, yet very talented boy. One fine morning he asked his father while playing in the home, “Father, I want to become a doctor.” “Yes, you can, my son.” answered by his father. At that moment the mother interrupted, “son, how can you become a doctor." But the father came in between and said, “Don’t worry, let him try.”
The same thing happened the following day. After some years, the boy passed out with good grade in the science and both decided to go for medical admission. They went to city and filled the medical forms at 11 colleges. Out of them, only one college accepted his form and other college denied the form due to his blindness.
Again there was a big problem at the college which allowed him to take the admission. The students as well as the lecturers raised the doubt over his admission due to the blindness at the principal’s office. They even asked him how he would pursue the degree. He responded with smiling, “Let him try. Not take tension.”
The boy became successful doctor after many years of struggle. He decided to go among the tribal people and ready to serve there. Slowly he got name and fame there.
