A positive son

Once upon a time, there was a young man admitted to the hospital. He was well educated and working at a multinational company. Having a problem of hearing, he was shifted to OPD and informed his parents about complexities in the case. They knew but had a hope of curing after the ears operation. So they put believe in the team of doctors. Simultaneously they motivated the son and prayed God for his well-being.

On the day of operation, they came early at the hospital with other relatives. The team of doctors shared with them that the operation would take at least 2 hours. So they had to keep patient about it. As soon as it started, all of them were taking a round of the passage and looked worried. Father brought a cup of tea and biscuits for all of them and he was talking about the name and fame of those doctors operating on his son while sipping tea. He tried to keep them positive and confident. So there was a light moment among them.

At that same time, the nurse was taking around at OPD for supplying equipment and medicines. Sometimes the mother felt asking her about her son’s condition. But the father stopped her and convinced that he would get cured very soon. The first time the mother complained about time being passed slow.

After a long time, the doctors came out of OPD and intimated the parents about the operation. Happily, they went to special wards after the son was taken there. It seemed to all that they were meeting him after many years. At a moment they were informed by the nurse that his bandage would be removed the following day. His ears were covered with cotton and bandage. So everyone hoped that his hearing problem would be lessened.

The following day, the doctors came to his special ward and removed his bandage in front of his parents and relatives. After removing it, one of the doctors asked him whether he heard him and others. He looked confused and didn't say anything. Again the doctor inquired him if he was listening to him. But he said that he didn’t hear them. Then the doctor and his associate checked his ears. They concluded that he had lost his hearing abilities. Even the parents didn’t believe in the doctor’s words. However, the doctor convinced them that he had to use hearing aids and get the benefit. The mother started crying and asking his father several questions.

At that time, over there everybody was tensed but the son declared gladly that it was nice to him. He could not listen to negative people due to hearing problem. At least, he could do positive and better. Even he would spare his life from criticism and negativity due to it. So he put it positively before all of them. The team of doctors wondered and liked his attitude towards life.

Afterwards, the doctor called his father at the office and explained to him that his son was positive. So his hearing ability would be restored very soon. Even he could use the hearing aids in the sake of hearing clearly.

That day, the parents learnt a lesson from their son about the positive side of each thing in life. Happily, they and relatives took him to home after discharge.

They realized life as positive and full of possibilities. They couldn’t forget it.
