Social media advocacy training for creative writers By UNICEF ,Surat.

Social media advocacy training for creative writers @VNSGU, Surat.
On 5th Oct, 2019, Saturday, ‘Social media advocacy training for creative writers was organized by UNICEF, Surat Municipal Corporation, and Child friendly city group. It was held at the social science department, VNSGU, Surat. I along with 22 people, who were from different background, participated in it. At 9.30 we gathered there and had breakfast and tea before the session.
At 10 the session was started by Mr.Anuj sir who is in charge of Child friendly city group. He introduced the trainer, Mr. Kumar Manish, who was from Ahmadabad. He was from journalism and mass media field. He worked with The Times of India group, Ahmadabad for some years. Now he works as a part time faculty at PDPU University, Ahmadabad. He is very expert at social media content.
The trainer began the session with an icebreaker. In that every participant came forward and said in a word about what he wanted out of the session and stood there with saying ‘Check it’.  As soon as it was finished, we were asked to note down the three points on ‘What we have and what want’. At that time he clearly instructed that the participants had to write in one word. After writing, we stuck it on two different chart papers.
After that he formed a pair and asked us to introduce each other at first. At that time the first partner introduced his partner. After introduction activity, he formed a group of 6 participants and named it. I was with the group called as the Grapes. He assigned the task on campaign for child friendly city. At the same time he showed some good presentation upon it. He pointed out what worked and what objectives to be kept through his power point presentation. So as the group would get the clarity of the assignment.
Slowly and gradually each group presented the campaign creatively. My group had the campaign under tittle of ‘the strong foundation, new direction………’ Then we had lunch and free time to know one another. In afternoon session, the trainer showed some presentation on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and other Social Medias. He explained how these Social Medias work. He kept an interaction with all of us.
At 3.35 we had tea break. Then he winded up it by 4.20 and asked for the feedback. He got it positively.  Each participant got reimbursement and departed the hall with some creative and innovative learning.
I especially offered the thanks to Mr. Anuj Ghanekar sir and Ms. Hinal Gor Ma’am. They organized that training for the creative writers.
