These 5 paths of Gandhiji make you Gandhi in daily routine!
Anybody can follow the path of Mahatma Gandhi and become like him. Through these 5 paths he can bring a change not in him but also others. These can be followed in the daily routine without any bias. These were followed by Gandhi in his entire life.
1)    Truth :
It was not only word but also action for Gandhi. Once he said that the truth is the god. In his childhood, he was having a spelling test. At a time he didn’t know the spelling of one word. His teacher saw and gave him a hint that he would copy from others. But he refused to do it. At that young age, he proved his truthfulness nature. As result he failed to score full marks in it.
So this small incident points out that not only thinking, but also action was shown by him. The same way we Indian also keep practicing it and follow his path in the daily routine.
2)    Non-violence :
It was immensely powerful path for him and guided him to get the victory over British rule. He once said that we can achieve the truth through non-violence.
Once he was travelling by a train in South Africa. At that time, the ticket checker, who was a white man, threw him out of the running train. But he didn’t become violent and kept non-violence approach. He went into the root cause of it. He kept thinking over why it happened.
In same way we also follow it our daily routine and become like Gandhiji. Through that we can have ‘Ramrajya’ what he dreamed once upon time.
3)    Love:
This is a powerful and significant principle of Gandhiji. His entire life showed that he was a man of love. He loved not human, but also other organisms. He said that we can bring the change factor in the world through act of loving.
Once he was in Orissa for appealing the people to donate something in order to fight against Britishers. That time one of his followers informed that the people of the state didn’t understand Hindi. They knew only Orissa. On the other hand, he himself wasn’t familiar with Orissa language. However Gandhiji said that he wanted to use the language of love and emotion so as the people would understand him. He delivered the speech with full of love and emotion. Surprisingly they got his message. After that they donated lots of things. Among them, a small child, who was dumb, brought a pumpkin to him. Gandhiji felt attached with him and had tears in his eyes. He not only loved the people but also his work.
We can practice this in our daily routine and try to empower the people.
4)    Tolerance :
It is said that the patience pays the reward. This is really true in the life of Gandhiji. One day he came late to class by 5 minute. So his PT teacher bit him very much. He had no watch at a time, but he didn’t mention as the reason of late. He tolerated it and asked himself constantly why he was late. Later on he took firm decision that he would follow punctuality. Even that day he cried a lot.
This incident indicates how serious he was about the discipline and tolerance. Slowly he cultivated the habit of discipline.
5)    Welfare for all:
It means the ‘Sarvodaya’. Gandhiji’s life is full of welfare for all. Wherever he went and worked for others without any bias. He kept himself to be very down to earth. At that time the people isolated the untouchable people and hated them. Even they were not allowed to enter the private places. But he embraced and easily mixed with these people.
Another incident also implies that he was very much man of welfare. In South Africa, he came to know about the plight of Indian people. He thought over it the whole night whether he would go back to India or fight for these people. By next morning he firmly took decision that he had to fight for them. It was beginning of his journey for freedom struggle.
The same way, we Indian can keep the attitude of welfare for all in day to day lives. These 5 paths can make you to be like Mahatma Gandhi.  At least  these can bring the change in the society.
