Good or Bad omen!

Yesterday I was travelling to some other area of the city by an auto-rickshaw. At a moment I called a person to whom to be met. At once, the auto driver halted his auto on the road. At first, I thought that the passenger would get down there.
But nobody got down and came in. there was no one standing; the driver told that the black cat crossed just the road. He was waiting for someone to cross it. Then he would drive it ahead. Another passenger asked him why he had halted the auto. His reply was shocking to me. He said,
“This is a bad omen, Babuji.”
At that time, I responded that the same black cat was a good omen to Japanese people. Later on, he drove it on.
But, strangely, that the two countries are on the same earth, having two different points of good and bad omen on the black cat. Though we live in the age of technology and science inventions yet believe in such blind belief.

  • Is it the black cat’s fault to cross the road?
  • Is it our forefathers’ gift to us in the form of good and bad omen on seeing the black cat or anything similar?
  • Any thought?
