A little saint.

                                                           A little saint.
On the outskirts of the village, there was an Ashram surrounded with the hills. It was on the green lush land and beautifully maintained by the saint as well as his devotees. There was always a crowd to seek a piece of advice.
There the philosophies of the great saints were practised. Especially, love and care were preached by the saint.  He always advised the people to love, care, and not to do the sinful act. Sometimes the people used to live the night and spend time with the saint. Under his guidance, they liked to work. Further, he and his devotees were on the mission of social service. Therefore the ashram got name and fame. The donations also poured in and it was being used for the welfare of all.Despite such donations and the fame, he was constantly worried over his future heir and caretaker of the Ashram. He never shared it with anybody. Hoping he would have him in the future.
The saint and the followers were keen on the practice of non-violence and love. They strictly cared for others and animals too. Sometimes, the villagers offered a cow, a buffalo, and other animals to the saint. Hence there were 25 cows and they were fed properly by the devotees. On the other hand, the cows were giving milk and urine. Slowly the urine was being offered and used for multiple purposes by the devotees. They called it medicine.
Once at the time of the rainy season, there was heavy rain that year. Everywhere there was a downpour and flood. So the nearby people took shelter at the ashram. And the saint also welcomed and assured them to stay there until the rain stopped. But the people thought that they would be a burden to the sage. He advised them to work and live there. So there was not any problem. That way, the people started spending the days happily. They did the cleaning, grazing the cows, cooking, and working on the farm.
The saint constantly was on the round and asked the people how they felt. Even he tried to solve their minor problems. Some asked him what to do for the children’s future. Other put a matter of the family, wife, and finance.
It seemed that everything was fine and good. But one day some people complained to the saint about the increasing of the mosquitoes. But he requested them to wait for the solution. Again the people, who lived in the rooms, were being started biting endlessly. So they rushed at him the next day. At that time, some devotees too informed him the same. He went in his hut and brought an electronic net to kill the mosquitoes quickly. He handed it to one of the devotees and told him how it works.
The devotee took it for using at every room. At that time, a small child ran at the saint and informed him candidly,
“Baba, the person is doing the sinful act at the room.”
The saint didn’t get it what he was saying, but asked him,
“What sinful act, dear?”
                     The child answered,
“By killing the mosquitoes.”
The saint got up at the place and paid attention to him carefully. He was amazed at the little child’s insight. He lifted him on his waist and took inside. He placed the child on his siting place where he always sat. The people followed and came inside. They didn’t understand what was going on. The saint announced in front of all,
“My dear people,
This child will be my heir and next to me as the caretaker of this ashram.”
The people began clapping thunderously. It continued for a long time and everybody became glad over the sage’s words.
That day, the ashram got a future saint cum heir. All said in a voice,
“Long live you, Baba,
Long live Baba.”
