Mahatma Gandhi and We Indian.......!

Mahatma Gandhi and We Indian........!

Today, we all Indians celebrate Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday but don’t know about his discipline, and he was a strict follower of the rules. In 1923, he was in Yerawada Jail, and Kasturba Gandhi came to meet him there. At a time, there was a rule for the prisoners to speak in the presence of the security guards or attendants. The attendant regarded Gandhiji as a great leader and a good person. He used to respect him. So He went away after calling Gandhiji.

After ten minutes, the attendant turned up there where Gandhiji and Kasturba were supposed to speak with each other. But they stood like a statue and didn’t utter a single word. The attendant asked Gandhiji why he had not talked with Kasturba. That moment, Gandhi replied softly,

“How can I break the rule of this jail? And I am a follower of the rules of this jail.”

The attendant thought for a minute and saluted him. He realised why Gandhiji was a famous and great leader.

Nowadays, we all like to beak rules of every day and protocol, trying to prove that we are also great leaders and people.

On the other hand, we celebrate Gandhi’s birthday with pomp and pride. But we Indians don’t take the trouble to inculcate his entire life lessons and discipline. Today, we break the rules set by His life. Indirectly we set a new set of rules for upcoming generations.

Gandhiji and we Indian,
