The New Year Resolutions 2020!

The New Year Resolutions 2020! Dawn of the New Year 2020 knocked on my door early morning and asked me lots of questions. It was about finished and unfinished work of the last year. But unfinished was more intensified. Somehow I stood on my legs and tried to respond. Yet I could not do it satisfactorily. I had a load of regret and dissatisfaction. I didn’t know the reason for it. However, a new set of goals were about to enter into my life.                           On this Wednesday, I had a bath and a cup of tea while stuffing my head into the newspaper. Everywhere I was mentioned that the New Year came with positive things. It tried to please me and others too. Suddenly I glanced at small news of a poor boy was crushed by a rich and drunken man. What I had a positive set of resolutions were washed away in a moment. Still, there were lots of poor people on the earth after 75 years of Independence. Technology, Mission Mangal, agriculture revolution, sc

Sacking can be a welcome and a celebration.

Sacking can be a welcome and a celebration. Once I was sacked out of the well-known institute. Because I didn’t perform well and produce the desired result. I failed several times there. At a time, I felt to run away to some quiet place and do some harm to self. That day led me into pain, isolation, reflection, and whys question. I started blaming the management, its employees, and the pupils. Instead of seeing my own drawbacks, I played a game of blame to the surrounding.                                        The time didn’t pass quickly at the moment. Even it didn’t fly and console me as it does on normal days. I obviously started looking for sympathy and self-pity. During that time, I kept it secretly due to the thought of what the others had to react. By and by I confined myself into loneliness and introspective mood.                                                 However, I didn’t think of sharpening my skills. On the other hand, I

The memories we can't forget!

The memories we can't forget! The memories we cannot forget. Because these refresh our mind and we cherish life. We all try to remember all types of memories either good or bad. But it is advisable to remember the good one only. Further, sharing these with near ones bestow us joy and hope to live a better life. One such fun memory I still remember.                     When I was in 10 the class and used to live in a remote village. At the time , I spent with my village friends. We had always fun and playing together. We also made fun of one another. Among these, one such incident of fun was still remembered by every one of us. In the village, I had a friend called ‘Raju.’ There was also a dog that was called ‘Raju’ by every villager. So we all made fun of our friend Raju by calling that dog and offered the bread or anything.                                      On the other hand, he used to lose his temper whenever we played such a fun

The conversation between the conductor and the passenger!

This incident took place on the bus. It was going from Navasari to Surat. The conversation between the passenger and the conductor happened. It seemed to be funny and satirical. The conductor: please, ticket The passenger: Udhana Darwaja…. The conductor: take this and give me  26 rupees, please. The passenger: sir, please inform me when Udhana Darwaja comes…. The conductor: Yes, but you will come to know when it comes... The passenger: How I come to know it? The conductor: you will see outside the name board of it when It comes. The passenger: but sir, I don’t know how to read? The conductor: but you can take somebody’s help. Okay….! The passenger: but you can help me. The conductor: please, don’t ask me as I am not your teacher. Don’t expect me to help you all the time. The passenger: oh oh oh………..sir…….! The conductor: What ohhhhh...............!

A bus driver's dilemma!

A bus driver’s dilemma!            On Thursday morning, I was late at the bus station to catch a bus. So I missed a regular bus. Then I was waiting for another bus going to Navasari. While waiting for it, I put my head into the newspaper headlines. After some time the bus arrived there and it was a driver cum conductor. It meant that the driver had to play a dual role. First, he had to issue a ticket to the passengers and then drive the bus. But he did it well while driving the bus.               I took my ticket and stood by his side. Slowly and gradually I began my conversation with him over his dual role. He also became friendly while responding to me. Then he shared his tension with me.               He said, “I have to pass out the ‘CCC’ exam within six months.” Asking shockingly, “but why do you need to crack it? There is not any need for the driver. No relation between driving and computer.” Further, he pointed out, “I am just 10 pas

New Abhinandan.

New Abhinandan was turned out at my school last week. It happened that one of the 7th boys went to the girls’ building by mistake. In fact, the school was not co-education and no boys allowed going there. As it was a segregated section. Further separated building for the boys and the girls. So there was always strict rule on that part. But last week that class boy went there by mistake and stood for an hour at one corner of the building when he realised his mistake. At a time one of the teachers noticed him standing. He was brought back to the boys’ building.                                                        On his returning, he was asked several questions by his class and other classes. They asked him how and why he had gone. Further, they had a curiosity of knowing what he had seen there. Then many students started addressing him as New Abhinandan. Slowly it was spread on the whole campus. Some of others congratulated him on his returning.

Not show off the problems like jewellery.

Not show off the problems like jewellery. Generally, we are addicted to releasing the ill-feeling, problems, worries, tension and anxiety. So it makes others be the same. Further, it spoils atmosphere and turns out talk of the town among the people. Then they pass it to others by adding something of their own. It happens everywhere and the people easily become a victim of self-pity. They get trapped into negative aura. Unconsciously they carry it with them, even revolve around negativity, full of tension, dejected faces, frustration, and flow of irritation. At a time nobody realises what negative chemical transpires between them and others. Even they are labelled of negativity. Slowly it impacts over entire personality and leads them into unknown future. It happens due to the addiction of releasing the problems.               But I came across a family at a social function where a relative of that family started asking about their problems and tension.

Not memorization , but thinking required at school level!

Recently I was approached by some parents for their children’s personal tuition. At the beginning I denied them, but they insisted me for taking it.   I made myself ready for that task. Then I was asked by the students to take oral for their upcoming exam. So they came with preparation to my home. I asked them the questions one by one. They did it well and made me happy. By that time I had an idea that I would ask them randomly. Then they started thinking for their memorization. Suddenly I changed the pattern of asking them. I took some questions from middle, and they totally fumbled and replied me that they didn’t remember it. I was surprised when I asked the questions to them in sequence they were giving the correct answer. But when I changed the pattern, they started thinking and fumbling instead of remembering it.   So they taught me that education is not about means of memorization, but the thinking skill. However we know that the memory is good at some extent, but thinking i

The Master and his puppy.

The master and his puppy.                There is a master in city who has a puppy. He loves it very much. It also loves the master. Every day they both play and walk together. Sometime the master does not leave it alone. They live a life of a son and a father.                  But one day the puppy is not feeling well. So the master starts care of it properly. He takes it to vet doctor. There the doctor does primary checkup and prescribes some medicine. Along with it he gives a syrup bottle to the master and informs him that he needs to give it after an hour to the puppy.                                  The master gets back to home and he tries to give the syrup to the puppy after an hour. But it does not allow doing him. It runs here and there. Even the master runs after it and tries to open its mouth. But it is in vain. At last he becomes tired and loses his temper. Further he starts shouting at it. In fit of anger he throws the

Creativity in the classroom.

The teachers’ training programme on the topic of ‘Creativity in the classroom’ was organized by Vaikunth Dham Public School, Godadara Road, Surat. It was on 14 Dec, 2019. It started at 11 o clock and ended at 1 o clock. The programme was begun with the activity of self-advertisement. Further I asked them how they would sell their creative ideas before the learners. Some of them tried to bring some novelty in their advertisement. Then I shared a story of a doctor and his puppy with them. Through the story they got the point of what the students’ needs. As soon as the discussion on the story was finished, I introduced a multidisciplinary activity to them after they were formed into a group of five. Each group was given a topic. These were related to environments. In each group everyone did some creativity in order to convince the teachers about the topic. I kept interactive with them so that they didn’t feel bored. Later on the management too joined the session and admired the tea

Jealous is an infected disease.

Jealous is an infected disease. Jealous is a word which spoils human character at many levels. It is like a slow poison to mind and body. It impacts over these both aspects of the human being. It arises out of comparison, ill feeling of others, competition, intolerant nature, and inferior complex. Further it makes the person to be self-talkative. It leads the man on an outburst of ill feeling and mental disturbance. Even I felt it all the time. Earlier I was never aware of it and damaged my character. But why that enters into the life I asked number of times to me? Over the period of time I became self –aware of it and its consequence. It is a dangerous characteristic of human being. So it is important to know the reasons and a remedy for it. I tried to figure out the reasons of why I was jealous. Later on I tried to take down the solution for it. 1)       Reasons : A)      I always kept the comparison with others and never saw their effor

The Morning Prayer can be a source of happiness and motivation.

The Morning Prayer can be a source of happiness and motivation.                                     Today I was present at school assembly. As usual there was no regular prayer, but instead there was a song of the Bollywood, “ Maula mere Maula mere, aankhe teri itani hasi ke me ban gaya hu…….” The student were seen and looked happy and joyful. I also became mentally happy along with them. Further they looked meditative. On realization of their happiness, I asked some of them why they were happy at that moment. They replied me that it soothed their mind and easily relaxed their mind. That’s why they took an interest in it no hesitantly. One of them pointed out that they would have such thing in daily routine so that they could enjoy the entire day.                                                     What surprised me that we teachers are not usually ready to supply such materials for their happiness. Later we expect a lot. However it is said that happiness of

A young and loving couple in the train.

A young and loving couple in the train.  Yesterday, on Sunday that was dated 8 December, 2019 I was getting back to Surat from Ahmadabad. After having some business work in city I caught Porbandar-Howrah super fast train in the evening. It was crowded especially in general compartment and had hardly seat for anybody. But the people from Orissa, west Bengal, and other state easily adjusted themselves in the compartment. At a time I stood somehow at one corner. These people though less educated and labour by professional yet have very good way of showing their love to others. As it happened like this in following way.                             One young couple around 23 or 24 in ages paved their way inside of the compartment. Probably they were labourers. At first they started searching the place for seating. They didn’t get it. But the husband didn’t give it up; finally he saw upside and asked his wife to sit there which was perhaps 11 feet high. She was

Celebrate Your Life!

Therefore he always keeps full of tension. Whenever life gives him something for doing, he takes it as anxiety. Then he never sees an opportunity to grow and proves his ability. Slowly he creates such an atmosphere around him and believes that his life is not happy and good. However, the great people keep saying that life is an only great school which teaches, testify, and challenges the man.             It is well said that life itself is a factory of great ideas. It throws full of challenges to the man and asks him for achieving under any circumstance. But the man thinks that nobody supports him and everything is against him. That’s why he becomes a man of complaining and finder fault. Then h

Prompts and hints.

Prompts and hints: 1)      How the mother shows her affection towards her child. Once the child lost his way in the forest while going to school. What happened? Who helped? How he returned at home? 2)      The father lost hard earned money and worried about the family’s needs, instead of accusing, the family members took a challenge. What made the members to take striving path? Why they got the father’s concern? How? Who encouraged them? 3)       A child found 500 rupees note on the way to school and became glad, but suddenly …………….  What happened to the child? Who and why the child used the rupees for? 4)      Aids affected lady put herself into the responsibility. How and why she credited her family first, latter her sickness? What causes her work tirelessly instead of showing pity? Why you think that she was blessed? What priorities she put for others? 5)       A college guy became animal lover. One day he came across a horrible c
