Lost ticket

 Lost ticket

Jay was ready to go to the railway station by bus. That day he was supposed to go to Mumbai for some educational work. So he reached very early before the time. At first, he got a ticket at the ticket counter. Looking at the watch, he had still lots of time to spend there. So he spent some time at the bookstall, even purchased ‘The Times of India’ and browsed it quickly. Then he walked up the staircase and came on the platform where he was supposed to take the train.

The tea vendor, Newspapers Wala and other vendors were strolling here and there. By that time, he saw at the railway track and noticed the arrival of a train on the platform.

As soon as the train arrived on the platform, he ran a little and caught the compartment. He comfortably got in and had a seat. Slowly the people rushed in and started talking loudly. Then the train began to depart for the next station. Jay heard that the ticket checker entered the compartment. The ticket checker came near to Jay and asked for his ticket. He started finding it into pockets and wallet. But he didn’t find it, looking puzzled over it. T.T again requested him to see it carefully. But he said to him that he was trying to find it but not getting. At last T. T pointed out to him that he has lost the ticket. On it, Jay admitted it and continued searching for the ticket.

On seeing him confused, T.T said,

“Don’t worry, you can pay fine and get a new ticket.”

Jay informed him shockingly,

“Sir, I don’t know where I have to go. Only the ticket can show me. So I am searching for it.”

“What………….?” The ticket checker asked him not to know where he was going.

Somewhat our career is like the above story. We don’t know where we have to go. Interestingly we are searching for the lost ticket as Jay did.
