What comes next if 2020 itself repeats?

On the eve of a year of Janata curfew, one of my colleagues was looked tired and anxious. It was also seen in his eyes. Being a friend, I asked him why he looked such a haggard. He replied to me that he didn’t get a sound sleep the previous night.

Further, I looked for reasons. He shared with me that he was feeling insecure due to the rumour of lockdown and an increase in Coronavirus cases across the country.

I again asked, somewhat tempting, him what impact would be if it was such a scenario in upcoming days. He expressed his concern. Saying that he or others would face job, salary issues, and even having other problems related to expenses of the family maintenance. Frankly, he opined that everywhere was a tough competition for new business and job seekers. So how they could tackle such a situation if it continued.

Last year, he managed with savings and provident fund. But he had a thought-provoking question to me about how they could do without money. I was dumb over his frank sharing.

I was also gone into the same picture of what he was saying. He didn’t only expose his concern but also others’.

At last, he expressed,

“What comes next if 2020 itself repeats?”

-       Should we go for mind curfew instead of Janta Curfew?

-       Should we train ourselves in such a situation instead of going for the lockdown?

-       Should we do something different instead of vessel banging or lighting a lamp?

- What’re your thoughts?

  1. If 2020 itself repeats then the situation will become worse. If we were maintaining social distance well then there would not have been lockdown and lockdown will not have come to a close and still if we keep the social distance and stay well in our homes then the lockdown can also be stopped quickly and we can start our work so we should train ourselves in such a situation instead of going for the lockdown.
