Endless desire

Endless desire

Once a man was passing through a deep forest to his village. On the way, he was exhausted, and he just prayed to God for having a glass of water out of his belief. Within a moment, God turned up before him and offered a glass of water. But the man didn’t stop here and again asked for some food as he was hungry. God gave him a plate of food.

After that, he again expressed his desire for rest, and he needed a bed. According to his wish, he was given the bed. However, he was repeatedly asking God for something else. This time, he expressed that he required something for his family that would wait for his help at home.

Ultimately, God became furious and cursed him,

“You will not become happy until you stop your desire.”

As soon as he said it, he was out of sight. The man started searching for him here and there. But he was unable to see him and apologized. But it was already late to repent and excuse. The man went home with frustration. Since the ages, he started searching for happiness in material objects by fulfilling his endless desire.
